Can CBD oil be used for vaping?

Recently, quite a few friends who are interested in CBD have asked Qiuqiu: Can your  CBD oil and vaping be atomized?

Then, of course, balls who are responsive to their needs have to have a good science meal!

Conclusion: No.

CBD oil (CBD tincture) is not available for vaping. Since CBD gained popularity, tinctures (CBD oil) have been the most popular way to get supplements. And now, CBD users have more and more options. But with these options, we have many questions about how to properly use the different CBD supplements.

As more and more people learn about the health benefits of CBD, Vapers (vaper users) are gradually joining the ranks of CBD users. Of course, there is still a lot of confusion about CBD oil and vaping. Technically, “CBD vaping oil” isn’t oil-based. A more accurate term is CBD e-liquid. Unlike CBD oils, they are specifically designed for vaping.

CBD oil

Essential oils are generally used for oral and external use. It is usually made by extracting CBD from the hemp plant using CO2 supercritical extraction or ethanol extraction and diluting it with an easily absorbed and digested carrier oil such as olive, hemp seed oil, or coconut oil.

CBD Vape Oil is designed for vaping and e-cigarettes. It’s not oil-based, but a diluent is added to the CBD extract to help it flow through the nebulizer and create steam.

Can I vape CBD oil?

Can’t. Since the density of the CBD oil does not match the nebulizer, many problems can arise – such as the nebulizer pen can clog and dirty the coil, and even make a harsh noise.

Plus, oils that are too thick don’t produce good quality vapor, which ultimately causes CBD oil to burn too quickly and inhale harmful fumes.

Can I take CBD vaping oil orally?

All the ingredients in general CBD vaping oil are non-toxic, so technically we can ingest vaping oil just like CBD oil. But, better not!

How we consume CBD comes down to why we use CBD to achieve the best results. If you just want to have a different experience when using steam equipment and want to be more pleasant and relaxed, you can use professional CBD atomized oil with an atomizer. If CBD is used for health reasons, then purer CBD oil is recommended, as they are formulated to have a healthier texture when ingested, so we will have a more authentic CBD experience.

Absorption rate?

Essentially, oral CBD availability is only about 15%. In other words, for every 100 mg of cannabidiol ingested, our bodies absorb only about 15 mg, which is a significant loss.

When using CBD nebulized oil with a nebulizer, cannabidiol is absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the lungs in the form of vapor. This significantly reduces the loss through the liver and stomach. Studies have shown that the bioavailability of CBD inhaled by nebulization is 34%-46%, so currently, the method of nebulization is the most efficient way of ingestion.

But the buccal is by far the most popular way to ingest it because it’s easy and quick. There are veins called sublingual glands under the human tongue. When CBD is placed in the sublingual glands, part of the CBD will be directly absorbed into the blood through the sublingual glands, and the rest of the swallowed part will be digested by the liver just like the oral method. Sublingual glands absorb faster than oral, more efficiently, reaching the bloodstream without being metabolized by the digestive system. Sublingual utilization is usually around 19%, and some studies suggest it is as high as 35%!

Therefore, the conclusion is: CBD oil cannot be used for atomization. Atomization requires professional CBD atomized oil to be used with an atomizer. CBD atomized oil has no harmful ingredients and can be used orally, but it is not recommended. At present, the method with the highest absorption rate is atomization. On the premise of ensuring the absorption rate, the easiest and quickest method is oral administration.
